History
In 1994, the Rocky Mountain International Business Association (RMIBA) was organized by the BYU-Utah Joint CIBER. At that time it was comprised of international business professors and administrators from three states: Utah, Idaho, and southern Colorado. The role of the CIBER was to coordinate cooperative international business efforts and help support faculty attendance at international business conferences and faculty development in international business (FDIB) offerings.
In 2004, RMIBA looked to develop its network in size and mission and eventually formed the Rocky Mountain CIBER (RMCIBER). The network included the same kinds of universities and colleges, but expanded to include Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana. The RMCIBER network is co-sponsored by the CIBERs at Brigham Young University and University of Colorado Denver.
