Cynthia Halliday joined the Marriott School of Management as Managing Director of the Kay and Yvonne Whitmore Global Management Center/CIBER in January 2005. Cynthia is leading the development of international exchange programs and managing most of the BYU CIBER projects. She is also responsible for the international chapters of the Marriott School Management Society, an alumni organization. She has directed the Latin America Business Study Abroad and she has also taught Business Portuguese at BYU. Cynthia also served as the President of the World Trade Association of Utah, an organization with the mission to assemble a group of professional people to promote network and expand international trade and commerce. Prior to coming to BYU, Cynthia spent seven years in the marketing corporate world, four of which were with Nestlé USA in Ohio, managing the Stouffer’s Dinners and the Stouffer’s U.S. Hispanic Initiative. Prior to moving to Ohio, Cynthia worked as Brand Manager for Nutraceutical Corporation, where she was responsible for the Solaray Herbs line. Other work experiences include Nestlé México, IFF Brazil and Novell USA (Latin America Division). Cynthia is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; she earned her MBA from the Marriott School in 1999 and a BA in food engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brazil.
